Bus and train to Skagway

We left the camper at Whitehorse for a day trip to Skagway, Alaska. A tour bus picked us, and several other people, up at the campground. We traveled by bus to Carcross where we boarded a train to carry us through the Rocky Mountains and valleys to Skagway, Alaska. We then took the bus all the way back to the campground at Whitehorse. Leave the driving to them for a change. The first photo is one of the views, a glacier, in the Rockys. You can see the thickness and texture and pale aqua blue ice of the glacier in the center of the first photo. The next two are the interior of the train car with the lady exiting the restroom, and the old wood stove is a working stove. Next includes Ken, on the left, settling in for the ride. It was great fun for both of us to be able to watch out the window together. One stop on the bus trip was at Emerald Lake which has no aquatic life because of the numerous minerals, and we were swapping with other travelers taking pictures for each other. The water is considered to have great health benefits. Finally Ken and the bus driver in Skagway making sure of our return time back to Whitehorse.
